NoteThe Morgan-Trenholm Collection was largely organized by Mayor William D. Morgan between 1890-1915. He hired professional photographers, including D.C. Simpkins to photograph Georgetown for promotional materials. Many of the remaining photographs were taken by Alfred G. Trenholm, a businessman and amateur photographer, who documented Georgetown County in the early 20th Century.
