| Description | Heiman Kaminski was an extremely succesful businessman at the time of his death in 1923. He was born May 23, 1839, in Posen, Prussia. He immigrated to Charleston in the 1850s and worked as a clerk in Charleston and later, in Georgetown. After fighting with a South Carolina regiment in the Civil War, he returned to Georgetown and eventually started his own business, Heiman Kaminski and Company. |
