The collective effort of Georgetown County Public Library and South Carolina State Library, funded by a $40,000 2005 Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

These two earlier and prominent citizens of South Carolina's Georgetown County would probably be delighted with our initial success at using digital library technology to make a unique collection of historical photographs continually available to anyone in the world with access to an Internet-connected computer.

On the left is William Doyle Morgan (1853 - 1938) and on the right is Alfred Glover Trenholm (1874-1952). It is their photographs, ranging from the 1890's into the early twentieth century, that are featured in Georgetown County Library's first digital collection.
