Subject	South Carolina Georgetown County Front Street
Description	A portion of the 800 block of Front Street, looking toward the south (river) side. The first two buildings on the left comprised the Steele-Moses Merchandise Company well into the 20th century. The seventh building was occupied by the Standard Opera House, on the second floor, and various businesses in the three first-floor stores. The handsome Bank of Georgetown is seen on the right, with the fountain donated to the city in 1911 in the foreground. The horse-drawn delivery wagons remind us that the auto was not always such a big part of life. This is a good view of the sidewalks extending completely across the street.
